曹德明

曹德明，男，留法博士，上海外国语大学法语系教授、博士生导师，现任上海外国语大学校长；教育部国际司区域与国别研究培育基地上外欧盟研究中心主任。全国外语专业指导委员会副主任委员兼法语组组长、中国法语教学研究会会长兼世界法语教师联合会亚太委员会副会长、上海欧洲学会副会长。曾任上海外国语大学党委副书记、副校长。

研究论文有“语言规范与语言的多样性”、“词汇的文化内涵与翻译”等三十余篇，出版有《现代法语词汇学》、《法汉实用分类词典》、《加拿大文学词典》、《法语渐进》系列等论著、教材、辞书等十多部。发表有《女士乐园》、《阿达拉勒内》、《社会语言学》、《从巴黎到耶路撒冷》、《伏尔泰中短篇小说集》、《写作》等近二十本翻译作品。主要承担课题有：教育部外语指导委员会法语组推荐教材、教育部“十一五”规划教材项目《新世纪高等学校法语专业本科系列教材》、国家人事部重点教材《法语翻译水平/资格考试教材系列》、法语教材渐进系列、教育部全国外语专业指导委员会2006年规划项目《全国法语专业教学情况调研报告》、教育部全国外语专业指导委员会2002年规划项目《法语专业复合型人才培养模式探索》、国家语言文字应用“十一五”科研项目：重点项目——国家外语发展战略研究、上海市“十一五”规划图书项目、2007年上海外国语大学校级重大科研项目《欧盟及其成员国研究》、上海外国语大学规划科研项目《法汉双解词典》、上海世纪出版集团项目《汉法分类词典》等。

目前主持和承担2012年度上海市政府决策咨询研究课题“欧盟及其成员国文化政策研究”（项目编号2012-Z-53-A）；主持和承担欧盟研究中心及校级重大课题：“文化视角下的欧盟及其成员国对非洲关系研究”

个人荣誉及获奖情况

1990年获教育部霍英东教育基金奖“青年教师奖”，1995年获国务院颁发的政府特殊津贴，1996年获宝钢教育基金奖“优秀教师奖”，2001年获法国教育金棕榈军官级勋章，2002年获日本创价大学“最高荣誉奖”，2007年获上海市“教学名师奖”。2012年，在中国大学出版社第二届优秀图书奖评选中，《文化视角下的欧盟及其成员国研究》获优秀学术著作二等奖。

研究方向：欧盟研究、法国研究、法语语言文学研究。

CV of Prof. Dr. CAO Deming

Prof. Dr. CAO Deming is President of Shanghai International Studies University. He obtained his Ph.D. from France, and became a professor and academic advisor for Ph.D. candidates in the Department of French Language and Literature, Shanghai International Studies University. Currently he is also working as Director of Center for EU Studies, Shanghai International Studies University, deputy chairman of National Steering Committee for Foreign Language Majors and Chief of the Group for French Language Major of this committee, president of Chinese Association for Studies of French Language Teaching, deputy chairman of the Asia-Pacific committee of the Global Federation of French Language Teachers, and deputy president of the Shanghai Institute for European Studies. He was deputy secretary of the Chinese Communist Party's Committee in Shanghai International Studies University and vice president of this university, before he was appointed as president of this university.

    He has published over 30 academic papers and articles, including Language Standards and Linguistic Diversity, and Cultural Connotations of Words and Translation. In the meantime he also published nearly 20 monographs, textbooks, and lexicographical works, such as Modern French Lexicology, French-Chinese Dictionary for Practical Categories, Dictionary for Canadian Literature, and Progressive Learning of French. He also translated over 20 works from French to Chinese and got them published in China, including Lady's Paradise, Atala Rene, Social Linguistics, From Paris to Jerusalem, Anthology of the Medium and Short Novels of Voltaire, and Writing. The research projects supervised or operated by him include: project for the Series of Textbooks recommended by the French Language Group of the Steering Committee for Foreign Language Teaching of China's Ministry of Education, project for the Series of Textbooks for University Level Students of French Language Major in New Centuries (Textbook Project of the 11th Five-Year Plan of China's Education Ministry), project for the Series of Textbooks for the Test of Translation Capacities of French Language (Key Textbooks recommended by China's Ministry of Human Resource), project for Series of Textbooks for Progressive Learning of French Language, Nationwide Investigation on Domestic Conditions of Teachings in China's French Language Majors, Exploration of Model for Training Cross-Disciplinary Talents of French Language Major (the 2002 Planned Research Project granted and Funded by the National Steering Committee for Foreign Language Majors, China's Education Ministry). His chief research projects in recent years include: the project on China's National Strategy for the Development of Foreign Language Learning and Studies (a national level key project of the 11th Five-Year Plan for China's Application of Languages and Writings), a book-compiling project listed in the 11th Five-Year Plan by Shanghai's Municipal Government, the project for the Researches on EU and Its Member States (a university level key research project established by Shanghai International Studies University in 2007), the project for the Compiling of French-Chinese Bilingual Connotations Dictionary (a research project listed in the official plan of Shanghai International Studies University), the project for the Compiling of Chinese-French Assortment Dictionary (a research project established and funded by Shanghai Century Publishers' Group), etc.

   Currently, he is supervising and operating the project of Cultural Policies of EU and Its Member States (a Research Project established and funded by the Shanghai Municipal Government for policy-making consultancy; Registration Number: 2012-Z-53-A), and the project of EU and Its Member States' Relations with Africa from the Cultural Perspective (a key research project established by Shanghai International Studies University for its Center for EU Studies).

2001: Officer-Level Golden Palm Medal for French Education, awarded by French government;

2002: Top Honor Award, issued by Soka University, Japan;

2007: Award for Eminent Teaching Work of Famous Teachers, issued by Shanghai Municipal Government;

2012: Studies on EU and EU Member States from the Cultural Perspective, a series of academic monographs authored and supervised by him, won the 2nd Grade Prize for Prominent Academic Works, in the 2nd session of competition for excellent books published by Chinese universities' presses.
